Intrepid? Break it down for us, Zach. And he did. “IN” for Innovation. “TREP” is at the heart of En-TREP-reneurial spirit. And “ID” is who we are, our brand or essence.

These and other provocative concepts about what it will take to propel Madison forward were shared during the most recent Lunch With A Leader, one of the leadership development and networking opportunities sponsored by the Leadership Greater Madison Alumni Association.

GMCC President Highlights Madison’s Potential

Zach Brandon, newly elected president for the Greater Madison Chamber of Commerce urged Leadership Greater Madison alumni and Madison leaders to think broadly about Innovation. (It’s not just for tech companies anymore.) He highlighted new and exciting enhancements to the GMCC Business Expo coming in late April. Brandon also outlined the types of businesses both large and small, established and enterprising, that it will take to solidify Madison’s leadership position in the future among desirable communities. And he spoke frankly about the need for a change in attitude by Madisonians.

Catch It On Video Now

Watch for upcoming Events sponsored by Leadership Greater Madison and make plans to attend. The next Lunch with a Leader event is coming in July and is open to the public.

LGMAA is excited to soon roll out an Alumni in Action program, intended to engage members in leadership through hands-on service or fund-raising activities that benefit the Dane County community. When these activities are spearheaded by two or more LGM alumni and meet an unmet need of a qualified not-for-profit organization in Dane County, the project may qualify for grant support from the Leadership Greater Madison Alumni Association.

This is just one more example of how LGMAA continues to support the people and organizations in our community. Stay tuned for more information on the Alumni in Action program.
